Merry Christmas Everyone!

I can't believe it is December 19th already! Only two more sleeps until I go to Grandma and Grandpa Jarina's for Christmas. I can't wait! I just wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season.

What is the deal with the rice cereal?

So yesterday Mommy and Daddy strapped me in my high chair, took out the video camera and started shoving this awful food in my mouth! Yes, I had my first taste of solid food; rice cereal. I didn't quite know what to think of it. It felt funny in my mouth and I didn't know what to do with it so it pretty much just ran down my chin. Mommy and Daddy were laughing at me! I don't think I actually swollowed any of this stuff. Was I supposed to? After a few spoonfuls of the food, Mommy stopped feeding me and said she would try again. Mommy thought maybe I was not hungry as I just drank a bottle. So today she tried again. This time I hadn't eaten for a couple of hours. Still, I was not sure about the cereal and kept pushing it out with my tongue. I was also making some pretty funny faces. Am I supposed to like this stuff? I think I will just stick to my bottle for a while. Mommy and Daddy said they will probably try again after Christmas. I can handle that!

'Tis the Season...

This month I have been busy with the Christmas parties and get togethers! Today I went to my friend Norah's house for a Christmas potluck and Secret Santa gift exchange. I had so much fun! I haven't seen my friends in over a month so it was really good to see everyone. Everyone has gotten so much bigger since I last saw them. Drea is getting so tall. Jared can sit all by himself and Ashlyn is almost there. Logan is getting to be quite the big boy and Norah has so much more blonde hair! I got a really neat bath toy; a whale that shoots out water from its spout. I can't wait to try it out. All the excitement made me really tired so I had a quick nap in Norah's room but then I was up just in time for the group picture. I am so lucky to have such great friends. I can't wait until I see them again!

I am five months old today!

Happy five months to me! I don't have much planned for this special day. I will probably take my dog Berkley to the dog park. And tonight my cousin Ashley is coming over to play. Yea! Here is me in my crib first thing this morning. I sure am excited to be five months old! Mommy also weighed and measured me today and I am about 17 lbs 7 oz (up one lb from last month) and 26 1/2 inches (up one inch from last month).

An Early Christmas Present

So guess what I got for Christmas? A brand spankin new high chair! Grandma and Grandpa Jarina bought it for me for Christmas. Mommy put it together for me yesterday. I was supposed to help her but I slept the whole time. I love it! It has toys attached to it and makes music. Mommy took pictures of me in it this morning. She got me all excited thinking I was going to finally get some "big boy" food but not today. Hopefully soon though. I am getting sick of drinking formula all day long. Wouldn't you? Hey, that's not Grandpa!

This past Sunday I had my very first Christmas party! It was put on by Daddy's company, Shaw, and I had a lot of fun. It will be more fun as I get older as there was so much for me to do there, only I couldn't do it as I am still too small. There was face painting, cookie decorating, magic tricks, picture frame decorating, cotton candy, and REAL LIVE REINDEER! Wow, I thought they only came on Christmas Eve. And, of course I got to meet Santa for the very first time. He didn't scare me one little bit. I got my picture taken with him so don't forget to check it out. Mommy bought me a cool Christmas outfit. It made me look like a big boy (her words, not mine). I even got a present from Santa! It was a great day.
