So I must have been paying attention to everyone when they would sing me songs as I am starting to mimick them. Yesterday, Mommy was sitting on the couch and I was sitting on her lap and she started to sing; "Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man" and I started to clap my hands! Mommy was so excited. She kept repeating the song and I would clap my hands again. Then I did it for Daddy as well. Good job to me!
Also, my new thing now, which I do everyday, is blowing raspberries! I stick my tongue out and blow. Sometimes I can make quite the mess with all of my drool. I love hearing the sound of my own voice. Mommy and Daddy laugh at me and how silly I can be. When they want me to make that sound, often they just have to stick their tongues out at me and I give them a raspberry. Mommy says I am a child genius; "Sooo smart!" are the exact words she uses. Daddy thinks she is getting ahead of herself!
And, I am moving around quite a bit now on the floor, or "creeping" as they call it. I am not crawling yet, but can cover quite a bit of space by wiggling and turning in the direction of a toy. I am just starting to explore the whole crawling thing as well. While laying on my belly, I raise my whole belly up off of the floor so just my hands and legs are on the floor. I think I may be onto something here! I can't quite figure out what to do next. Mommy has been trying to show me. I just have to keep practising I guess.
Last but not least, here is my (Mommy's!) new toy. It is a back pack carrier so Mommy can take me and Berkley for walks at the same time as Berkley has a hard time walking beside the stroller and we end up running into him all the time. It is for 6 months and up so Mommy put me in it to see how I fit. I am a little bit short right now as I can hit my face on the bar. But soon this will really come in handy!
