"Choo-choo" aka Thomas the Train
On May 10th Mommy, Daddy and I visited Heritage Park where we spent a day with Thomas the Train. We went for a ride on him which was so cool! I love Thomas and would watch him over and over again if Mommy and Daddy would let me (Mommy says she likes to watch some Dr Phil guy so I have to fight with her for the tv!) It was a warm sunny spring day. Upon entering the park I was greeted with a "Hi Eli!". My friend from daycare, Jacob, ran up to me and said hi. Mommy and Daddy thought it was so neat that I had little friends they didn't know about or have never met. Jacob and I go to daycare together. Once inside the park I spotted the hot dog stand and insisted on having a "aw-dog" that instant. So much for the nice lunch Mommy packed for me! I was a little disappointed to see that the inflatable bouncers were only for kids aged 3 - 8. Not fair! Then we went inside a big tent where Miss Molly was doing a live concert. I danced on stage with the other kids and then played with the train sets they had set out. And what is a nice family outing without a tantrum? Mommy and Daddy wanted to buy me a t-shirt so we went into the gift shop tent. When it was time to leave though I had a full blown tantrum, kicking and screaming for the 15 minute walk to the car and then for most of the car ride home. About five minutes from home I fell asleep in the car, the after-cries still present. Finally Mommy and Daddy were able to get me to sleep. Despite the tantrum, it was a great day!

Just Daddy and Me
When Mommy works, me and Daddy play! This past weekend Daddy took me to fun and exciting place; The Science Center! I had so much fun there and can't wait to go back. There is so much to do and see. My favorite part was the Bob the Builder exhibit. Soon it won't be there anymore though because a Sesame Street exhibit is coming! Yay...Elmo!
One of my new favorite activities is coloring and of course my favorite color of crayon is blue. I can pick it out of a pile of 15 other crayons. I also know purple, red and pink. Pink is the color I used to do this! (Sshhhh...Daddy doesn't know about this. Mommy made me clean it up before he got home! Thank goodness for washable crayons):
My masterpiece on the glass patio doors:
Cleaning up my mess:
I also love to do puzzles and am quite good at them. I bring them out everyday so Mommy, Daddy and I can do them together.
My vocabulary is growing every day. I can now count to five (although I often stop at four) and love to count everything from my fingers, to crayons, to toys. I also love to sing and dance. My favorite is when Grandma sings me to me on the phone. Oh yes, I also love to talk on the phone! Well, I mostly just listen but when it is time for someone to go who I have been talking with on the phone, boy do I get mad! My new favorite cartoon to watch is "Memo", or Nemo for those of you who pronounce it that way. I know where it is on the DVD shelf and will get it out every day. And just as my vocabulary is growing, so are the number of tantrums I have in a day! I don't mean to be a pain. I am just stubborn and when I don't get my way, I get mad. I also like to do things for myself and don't want anybody to help me, like putting on my boots. I am a big boy after all! But I make up for my moodiness with lots of hugs, kisses and "Daddy Iyuvu" and "Mom Iyuvu"!
And just for fun, here is a picture of me Mommy snapped. I am modelling the cool way to wear a diaper these days!
