Tis' the Season for Parties, Potties and Pucks

Guess who I got to meet the other day? SANTA CLAUS!!! I was so excited. I went to a Christmas party at my friend's house and Santa came. Mommy wasn't sure how I would do with him because my encounter with him last year did not go to well. So Santa walks into the room and I got all excited! I patiently waited for my turn and when it finally came, I crawled up onto his lap and told him exactly what I wanted for Christmas...toys! He asked if I wanted little toys or big toys and of course I said big toys.

Here we are:

And here is how the conversation went down:

Next comes the potty. In the past 2 days I have peed on the potty five times. Mommy and Daddy say I am just like Berkley, in that I can pee on command! Of course I am not ready to throw in the diapers just yet. I have a ways to go. But it is a start. The fact that I get a skittle every time I do pee on the potty helps too. And no, there will no videos of the actual act. But, here are some photos of me in my big boy underwear which I love to wear!

And finally, pucks...as in hockey pucks. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Hitmen game on Sunday. It was my first pro hockey game and it was the Saddledome. The game we saw included the famous Teddy Bear Toss, where fans bring stuffed animals that they throw on the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal. The toys are then donated to kids in need. Well, ten minutes into the game the Hitmen scored. Mommy reached down to grab the teddy bears we brought under her seat and the next thing you know, I get pelted in the head with a huge stuffed animal and start crying! Mommy and Daddy did't realize how fast and how many would actually come down. We were sitting in the second row from the ice so we got rained on by stuffed animals! Mommy and Daddy had to protect my head. We didn't realize how painful this game could be. Daddy got hit a few times and so did Mommy. There were so many toys on the ice! It was crazy! Afer they got the toys cleared off the ice and the game resumed, I fell asleep in my chair so Mommy cuddled me for a period and a half. Now when Mommy or DAddy asks me about the hockey game, all I remember is how I got hit on the head by a teddy bear.

Waiting for game to start:
